DIANE DAWSON is a 30-plus year veteran in the Children’s Choir field. For many years she served as the Children’s Choir Coordinator at The People’s Church – First Baptist Church – in Franklin, Tennessee. After years of adapting available materials to unique situations and needs, she devised a method of integrating music education, spiritual application, and performance preparation into each semester’s curriculum. Her goal is to strive for a balanced repertoire of “psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs”; a solid music theory foundation; valuable spiritual lessons; and memorable performance opportunities.

The mom of Dana and David, and grandmom to 5 wonderful Grands, she also claims thousands of “choir kids” who have sung in her 5th and 6th grade choirs over the years. Diane is the “curriculum writing” half of the Nancy Brant Music Team, creating and editing all of the teaching materials.

NANCY BRANT served for 25 years as the director of one of the largest children’s choirs in the nation at the time, First Baptist Church of Jacksonville, Florida. Her choir program had an enrollment of over 1000 children, ages 4 through 5th grade. Directing children’s choirs for 32 years taught her the value of a wonderful children’s musical. Nothing teaches solid Bible truths and their day to day applications, motivates children to strive for excellence in musicianship, and keeps ministry goal-oriented and charged with energy like a GREAT children’s musical. For this reason, every year of her ministry she wrote or adapted two major children’s productions for her 2nd to 5th grade kids. Each production “starred” over 400 children, but it was definitely more than just a “show.” One summer “her kids” led 79 children to the Lord as they prepared the musical! To Nancy, that’s what it’s all about!

Retirement is full now as wife to Bill, mom to Hunter and Heather, and Mimi to 6 wonderful Grands, but many of her best memories are Wednesdays with her choir kids, learning to love and worship Jesus. Those memories always keep a song in her heart!

Nancy is the “musical writing” half of the Nancy Brant Music Team, creating the songs and scripts for the musicals of Nancy Brant Music.
